The Aerospace Academy of the Eastern Shore
Applications are Now Open!
The Old Dominion University Aerospace Academy of the Eastern Shore (AAES) is for any rising 9th grader (current 8th grade student) interested in taking aerospace specific courses in engineering and data sciences during their high school years. The program is free for students and applications are open now! Any interested 8th grade student in the Commonwealth of Virginia is invited to apply, there are no additional requirements. A lottery system will be used to select 50 students each year. Come launch the future of learning with us with the Aerospace Academy of the Eastern Shore!

The Aerospace Academy of the Eastern Shore (AAES) is dedicated to empowering at-risk and underrepresented students by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to thrive in aerospace and related industries. Our mission is to inspire future leaders, foster a laboratory of educational innovation, and drive collaborative research that advances transformative practices. Through our commitment to access and opportunity, we aim to build a pathway for students to shape the future of the aerospace industry.
